Yelp has unveiled new AI-powered features that enhance how users explore local businesses. The company’s updated AI assistant now answers questions about restaurants, bars, attractions, and retailers, even scanning physical menus to explain dishes.
The new update also improves search by allowing natural language and voice queries, making it easier to find what you want. Yelp is expanding its “most mentioned” section to showcase popular offerings across more than 100 business categories, from salons to parks.
A standout feature lets users scan printed menus with their phone camera, AI will identify dishes and display related photos and reviews. Yelp also introduces AI video summaries for restaurants, longer video uploads, and new tools for planning future projects.
