Spotify Wrapped 2025 is live, and the streaming giant is returning to the familiar formula fans love, rich listening insights, creative visuals, and deeper personalization. After a widely criticized 2024 edition centered around AI-generated summaries, Spotify has shifted focus back to user-driven experiences and expanded data transparency.
This year’s Wrapped introduces nearly a dozen new features, making it one of the platform’s most ambitious updates yet. The biggest addition is Wrapped Party, Spotify’s first live, multiplayer experience. This feature allows users to invite up to nine friends to compare listening stats in real time. The party generates unique group “awards,” such as the “Most Obsessed Fan,” “Early Bird,” “Picky Listener,” or even the “Dinner Table Explainer,” based on everyone’s streaming habits. Each session updates dynamically, ensuring no two parties look the same.
Spotify is also giving users more detailed insights than before. For the first time, the Top Songs Playlist includes play counts, revealing exactly how often each song was streamed. Other new features include:
- Top Song Quiz: Guess the song that defined your year before seeing the results.
- Listening Age: Compares your 2025 listening style to others in your age group using track release years.
- Wrapped Clubs: Matches listeners to one of six distinct listening styles, like “Soft Hearts Club,” “Full Charge Crew,” or “Cosmic Stereo Club”, and assigns roles such as leader, scout, or archivist.
As usual, users will see their top songs, artists, genres, and, for the first time, top albums. Podcast, audiobook, and audiobook author stats also return, along with video messages for top fans.

Notably absent this year: any AI-branded feature. While Spotify still uses an LLM behind the scenes to help shape summaries and storytelling, the company avoided promoting AI as a centerpiece, responding to heavy feedback from 2024. According to Matt Luhks, Spotify’s Senior Director of Global Marketing, user reactions strongly influenced this year’s direction: “What our users tell us about Wrapped means a lot to us.”
Wrapped launches as Spotify faces growing competition from Apple, YouTube, Amazon, and others who have released their own year-end recap experiences inspired by Wrapped. Still, Spotify maintains confidence in its dominance, calling Wrapped the “original and still the best.”
Spotify also released its global charts for 2025. Top wins include Bad Bunny for both top song and top album, “The Joe Rogan Experience” as the top podcast, and Rebeca Yarros, author of Fourth Wing, as the top audiobook creator.
