Apple has introduced a new customization option for its Liquid Glass interface, allowing users to adjust its look to either Clear or Tinted. The feature arrives in the latest iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS 26.1 betas.

This update follows user feedback about readability concerns with the new design. The Liquid Glass interface, Apple’s most significant design change since 2013, has been both praised and criticized for its modern yet translucent look.

Users can find the new Liquid Glass option under Display & Brightness on iPhones and iPads, or Appearance in Mac’s System Settings. The Tinted mode increases opacity, making text and icons easier to see.

Developers’ apps using Liquid Glass will automatically reflect a user’s chosen setting. The feature is available now in developer betas and will roll out soon in the public beta ahead of the full release.
