Andrew Lissimore, founder of Headphones.com, was tired of spending heavily on Meta and Google ads to retain customers. So he built his own loyalty system, now a startup called Lantern, to help Shopify businesses boost retention with easy, integrated rewards.
Lantern lets sellers manage customer accounts, loyalty points, and referrals without adding extra code. Co-founded by Shopify designers Kyle Peatt and Dominic McPhee, the platform offers a customizable, brand-aligned loyalty experience.
After Headphones.com adopted Lantern, its repeat purchase rate jumped from 30% to 50%, cutting the average time between purchases from 198 to 98 days.

The company has attracted big clients like Counter and Vessi, and recently raised $3.1 million in seed funding led by Salesforce Ventures. Lantern plans to expand with AI-powered insights to help merchants better understand and retain their customers.
