Founded in 2012 by Dylan Field and Evan Wallace, Figma revolutionized digital design with its browser-based collaboration tools. Now, the company is turning its focus to developers, seeking to bridge the gap between design and engineering. According to Abhishek Mathur, Figma’s VP of Engineering, the goal is to show developers how Figma can enhance both creativity and technical workflows.
India ranks as Figma’s second-largest market after the U.S., accounting for significant international growth and community engagement. With users in 85% of the country’s states and top clients including CRED, Zomato, Swiggy, Airtel, and Infosys, Figma’s impact in India continues to expand.
The Bengaluru office will serve as a hub for local talent and community collaboration, reinforcing Figma’s long-term vision to empower developers and designers to create, code, and collaborate seamlessly.
