Spotify is introducing a new feature that lets users follow concert venues to receive updates and event details directly within the app.
Venues that users follow will appear in their library, where they can explore event calendars, see scheduled concerts, and get notifications on announcements. The platform also allows users to filter shows by genre, making it easier to find concerts that match their music preferences.
Additionally, Spotify has updated its live event feed to refresh daily, up from weekly, ensuring users have the latest concert information. As before, users can book tickets through Spotify’s partnered ticketing platforms like Live Nation and Ticketmaster, accessible via artist or venue pages.
This update follows Spotify’s earlier introduction of the “Concerts Near You” playlist, which curates songs from artists performing nearby. Rival platforms such as SoundCloud have also enhanced their live event discovery features this year, reflecting a growing focus on connecting artists, venues, and fans through digital tools.
