Disney is set to raise subscription prices for both Disney+ and Hulu beginning October 21, 2025, affecting several standalone plans and bundle options. The move comes less than a year after the last round of hikes and amid rising subscriber cancellations.

The Disney+ Basic plan with ads will increase by $2 to $11.99 per month, while the ad-free Disney+ Premium plan will rise by $3 to $18.99 per month. The annual Premium plan will also see a $30 bump, bringing it to $189.99 per year.

For Hulu, the ad-supported tier is moving from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, while the ad-free version will remain unchanged at $18.99 per month. Meanwhile, ESPN Select will see its monthly price rise from $11.99 to $12.99.

Bundles are also affected:

  • Disney+ and Hulu with ads: Increasing by $2 to $12.99 per month
  • Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select with ads: Increasing by $3 to $19.99 per month

A full breakdown of updated pricing is available on Disney’s official support page.

The timing of the changes is notable, as Disney+ recently faced backlash from subscribers following the temporary suspension of late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, leading to widespread subscription cancellations.

Disney+ first launched in 2019 at $6.99 per month and has since undergone multiple price adjustments in line with broader industry trends. The most recent increase came in October 2024, when the ad-supported tier rose from $7.99 to $9.99 and the ad-free plan went from $13.99 to $15.99.
