Flint Launches with $5M to Build AI Websites That Update Themselves

Flint wants to make websites smart enough to build and optimize themselves.

Sometimes, you can only spot what’s wrong when you’ve been part of the process for a while. That was the case for Michelle Lim, who, while leading Warp’s growth marketing team earlier this year, noticed that the company wasn’t updating its website fast enough to keep up with customer questions and new competitors.

She realized that potential customers were turning to ChatGPT and other AI tools for information about Warp’s offerings, data that should have been available directly on its website. This gap inspired Lim to build something new.

In March, she co-founded Flint, an AI platform designed to create and maintain websites that update themselves. Her co-founder, Max Levenson, previously led engineering teams at Nuro, the autonomous vehicle startup.

Now, Flint has emerged from stealth mode with $5 million in seed funding led by Accel, with participation from Sheryl Sandberg’s Sandberg Bernthal Venture Partners and existing backer Neo.

Flint’s goal is to make websites self-optimizing, capable of performing A/B tests, learning from market trends, and even tailoring content to each visitor. While the tech isn’t fully there yet, the current version can automatically generate page layouts, interactive features, and ad optimization tools within a day.

Lim says the platform already saves customers weeks of manual work. Flint is currently working with brands like Cognition, Modal, and Graphite, creating dynamic pages that align with their brand design.

With support from Sandberg, Lim sees Flint’s potential to transform how marketers manage digital presence. “I like to think of her as someone who influenced how the internet monetized over the past decade,” Lim said.

Flint’s next big milestone? Teaching its AI to write, copy and build new pages, without human intervention.
