With more consumers turning to ChatGPT instead of Google for answers, product discovery is rapidly shifting, and Peec AI is positioning itself at the center of this new search era. The Berlin-based startup, which helps companies understand and improve how their brands appear in AI-generated search results, has raised $21 million in Series A funding led by Singular.

CEO Marius Meiners revealed that Peec AI’s valuation has now tripled to over $100 million, just four months after its Seed round led by 20VC.

Since launching only ten months ago, Peec AI has surpassed $4 million in annual recurring revenue and onboarded 1,300 companies and agencies. Their platform helps brands understand visibility, sentiment, ranking, and which sources influence what AI models say, forming the basis of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), an emerging discipline compared to SEO for traditional search engines.

Peec AI is currently adding around 300 new customers every month, a pace fueled by demand for tools that can influence how brands appear in AI-generated answers. The company plans to use the new funding to accelerate its expansion and grow its team by about 40 new hires over the next six months. Most roles will be based in Berlin, where Meiners and his cofounders, CTO Tobias Siwonia and CRO Daniel Drabo, first met during Antler’s Winter 2024 cohort.

A Growing Market With Rising Competition

The GEO category is expanding quickly, with competitors such as New York–based Profound and Austria’s OtterlyAI joining the race. To stand out, Peec AI is investing in a dashboard designed to remain simple while offering deep insights. Unlike SEO tools built around keywords, Peec AI focuses on prompts, letting brands track how they appear for questions like “best travel insurance” or “top skincare brands.”

Pricing starts at €75 per month for 25 tracked prompts and €169 per month for 100 prompts, both with free trials. Enterprise plans begin at €424 per month.

To make insights actionable, the platform also suggests steps to improve visibility,  such as joining relevant Reddit discussions, based on what drives AI-generated answers. Their data shows that mentions in major media outlets aren’t always more influential than niche publications that match a specific query.

The Data Advantage Behind Peec AI

To refine its analysis, Peec AI has purchased large datasets of user requests made to AI systems. The company filters this data to extract brand-related queries, forming a proprietary pipeline that Meiners believes is key to its competitive edge.

As AI continues to reshape how consumers discover products and services, Peec AI represents a growing trend in Europe’s AI application layer,  where innovation increasingly revolves around data + usability, not just model development.
