Strength training app Ladder has expanded its fitness ecosystem with the launch of Ladder Nutrition, an AI-powered nutrition tracking feature integrated directly into its main app.
The new tool lets users log their meals using multiple input methods, by taking photos, scanning barcodes, typing entries, or describing meals through voice. Using a mix of AI models for image recognition, ingredient identification, and macro calculations, Ladder Nutrition estimates calorie and nutrient content while allowing users to adjust portion sizes.
To improve accuracy across diverse cuisines, the company partnered with a global nutrition data provider, ensuring reliable results even for non-U.S. meals. Ladder has also added protein-tracking mode, gamified streaks, badges, and progress reminders to keep users engaged.
Ladder’s CEO Greg Stewart said the feature was highly requested by users who wanted a “simple, smarter way to connect what they eat with how they perform.”
