Reddit has rolled out a new set of free tools for publishers to track article performance and receive AI-driven suggestions on where to share their stories within the platform’s communities. The features are part of Reddit Pro, the business-focused suite launched last year to help organizations strengthen their presence on the site.
Under the new Links tab, publishers gain access to three key tools:
- Article insights, which show where stories have been shared along with stats like views, upvotes, and clicks.
- RSS feed syncing, allowing publishers to connect feeds directly to Reddit Pro and manage distribution via dashboards.
- AI-powered recommendations, which suggest the most relevant subreddits for sharing stories.
Reddit has been alpha testing the tools with major outlets including The Atlantic, The Hill, NBC News, and Associated Press. Now, it’s opening the beta to more publishers.
On the consumer side, Reddit is improving the news-reading experience. Instead of forcing users to close an in-app browser to comment on posts, the company is introducing a swipe-up feature to easily read and join discussions.

The updates also tie into Reddit’s broader ambition to position itself as a search engine for news, articles, and blogs. As part of this shift, Reddit is changing how community metrics are displayed: subreddit member counts will be replaced with seven-day visitor and contribution stats.
By refining both business tools and user experience, Reddit is aiming to become a more valuable platform for publishers and a more seamless hub for readers.
