YouTube has officially launched its multi-language audio feature, giving millions of creators the ability to add dubbing in different languages and expand their global reach. The rollout, announced on Wednesday, comes after a two-year pilot and will become available to all creators in the coming weeks.

First tested in 2023 by popular creators like MrBeast, Mark Rober, and Jamie Oliver, the feature initially relied on third-party dubbing services. Now, YouTube has integrated an AI-powered auto-dubbing tool powered by Google’s Gemini technology, which replicates a creator’s voice tone and emotions for more natural translations.

According to YouTube, early adopters saw significant growth. Creators who uploaded videos with multi-language audio gained over 25% of watch time from non-primary language views. Jamie Oliver’s channel, for instance, tripled in views after using the feature.

Alongside audio, YouTube has also been testing multi-language thumbnails since June. This allows creators to customize video thumbnails with localized text, making content more discoverable to international viewers.
