Salesforce is expanding its AI developer tools with the launch of Agentforce Vibes, an autonomous coding assistant designed to bring vibe coding, coding with natural language, into the enterprise space. The company announced the new offering on Wednesday.

Agentforce Vibes enables developers to describe what they want to build in plain English, with the AI handling much of the implementation. The tool covers the full development process, from idea generation to app deployment, while integrating enterprise-grade security and governance.

At the core of the new product is Vibe Codey, an AI agent pre-connected to a company’s Salesforce account. This allows the system to reuse existing code, follow internal coding guidelines, and maintain consistency across apps.

Dan Fernandez, Salesforce’s VP of product for developer services, said the integration removes common technical hurdles. “Rather than having to spend a bunch of time on setting up environments and protocols, everything’s prebuilt and ready for you, including AI requests to get started. That really lowers the barrier to entry,” he explained.

Agentforce Vibes builds on Salesforce’s previous AI coding initiatives, including tools released in 2023 and the broader Agentforce platform introduced last year. The new system is based on a fork of Cline’s open-source Visual Studio Code extension, chosen for its strong support of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which enables AI to securely interact with external tools and data.

The launch comes amid growing investor enthusiasm for vibe coding startups like Lovable and Anything, both of which have raised at massive valuations. While cost pressures remain a challenge for pure-play startups, Salesforce’s integration of vibe coding into its product suite gives it a competitive advantage.
